Tagwise (“the app”) is a Shopify app that prints barcode labels and price tags. It is operated by the developer of Tagwise (“we”). This policy explains what information the app uses when a merchant installs it, and why.
Information we collect
When a store installs the app, Shopify gives it access to the following store data. The app only uses it to make labels.
- Store details: the store’s myshopify.com address, the access token that lets the app call Shopify, the granted permissions, and the store’s currency format.
- Products and inventory: product titles, variants, SKUs, barcodes, prices, vendors, types, selected metafields and stock quantities. They are read when you print and are not kept after the label file is created.
- Orders and inventory transfers: order numbers, dates and the products and quantities they contain, so you can print labels for their items. The app does not read customer names, addresses, e-mail addresses, phone numbers or payment details.
The app stores only:
- the store address, access token and permissions (needed to work);
- the label templates you create and your default template;
- the number of labels printed each month (for the free plan limit) and the counters used to create unique in-store barcodes.
Label files (PDF) are created on demand and are not stored on our server.
Changes to your store
The app writes to your store only when you ask it to: the “Generate barcodes” page saves new barcodes to variants that have none. It never changes an existing barcode.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or share store data with third parties for their own use.
- We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not set cookies of our own.
- We do not collect personal information about your customers.
Payments
Subscriptions are billed by Shopify. We never see or store your card or bank details.
Where the data is stored
The app runs on a private server rented from Hostinger, our hosting provider. Connections use HTTPS. Access to the server is limited to the operator.
How long we keep data
- When you uninstall the app, its access token is deleted right away.
- Shopify then sends a deletion request (usually 48 hours later). On receipt, we delete every record about your store, including templates and counters.
- Server backups are kept for 14 days at most, then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may ask to access, correct, export or delete the information about you. Customer data requests sent through Shopify are handled automatically; as the app holds no customer data, there is nothing to return or delete. For any other request, write to support@tidybolt.cloud. We answer within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts using new kinds of data, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
